Enter a date of birth to see the exact age instantly — in years, months and days, plus the next birthday countdown and a few fun totals.
Age is computed by counting whole calendar years, then whole months, then days from the birth date. First subtract the years; if this year’s birthday hasn’t happened yet, take one year back and count it in months instead. Then count the leftover days, borrowing the length of the previous month when the day-of-month hasn’t been reached. Total days alive is the exact day-count between the two dates. Worked example: born May 15, 1990, measured on Oct 19, 2026 → 36 full years, then May 15 → Oct 15 is 5 months, then 4 more days = 36 years, 5 months, 4 days (13,306 days alive; a Tuesday). The next-birthday countdown counts days to the next occurrence of the birth month/day.
Leap seconds are ignored everywhere, and dates are evaluated in your browser’s local timezone. A site that uses UTC midnight instead of local midnight can shift the count by one day around birthdays.
In non-leap years the next-birthday countdown rolls to March 1 (that’s how calendar date arithmetic works). Year counts still treat each Feb 29 anniversary as a full year.
No — only whole calendar days. Someone born at 11:59 PM and someone born at 12:01 AM the same day get the same age in days.
