The playground classic, done honestly: your two names are run through the famous TRUE LOVE letter count, reduced digit by digit to a percentage — and the page shows you every step, so you can check it with a pencil. Add both birthdays and it reads your sun signs too.
The TRUE LOVE test is a piece of playground mathematics at least a century old. Write the two names together, then count how many times each letter of the words TRUE LOVE appears in them. The counts form a row of digits; add each pair of neighbours (keeping only the units digit), making a shorter row; repeat until two digits remain — that is the percentage.
Worked example — Romeo and Juliet: the letters of TRUELOVE appear T1 R1 U1 E2 L1 O2 V0 E2, giving 1 1 1 2 1 2 0 2. Adding neighbours: 2 2 3 3 3 2 2 → 4 5 6 6 5 4 → 9 1 2 1 9 → 0 3 3 0 → 3 6 3 → 9 9. The oracle gives literature's most famous couple 99% — and their story is the standing warning that a high percentage is not the same thing as a happy ending.
The zodiac reading uses the traditional sun-sign elements — fire, earth, air, water — and the old rule that like elements harmonize while fire-and-air and earth-and-water feed each other. Both methods are entertainment, proudly unscientific; the calculator's only real claim is that it shows its work.
It is exactly as accurate as a hundred-year-old playground game can be: the arithmetic is real and fully shown, the romantic forecasting is for fun. Real compatibility is built, not computed.
Because the folk method has variants — some count the letters of "TRUE LOVE" once, some include the full names differently, some reduce by adding first-and-last digits. This page counts T-R-U-E-L-O-V-E (E twice, as written) and adds neighbouring digits; the steps are printed so you can follow them.
No — they are optional. Names alone give the percentage; birthdays add the sun-sign and element reading.
